For Sale: Nokia E51 OPENLINE - Best for Internet! Take my word for it!

Nokia E51: Connecting business

No hidden defects but no more warranty.
I take care of my phones. Check my feedbacks. ;)
RFS: Need the cash.

The Nokia E51 is a business/productivity phone so expect good connectivity options — WiFi and 3.5G or HSDPA (3.6MBps). If your phone has these two features, you’re all set in the data connectivity department. This is especially true if you have WiFi at home and you can use VoIP to make unlimited long distance calls on your phone for free (check out Fring/Gizmo). (source: Yugatech)

I use this for internet with a laptop/netbook using Nokia PC Suite via Bluetooth... and the speed is pretty fast considering it uses HSDPA! I can even use the webcam!

It’s built with an ARM 11 369 MHz processor (as fast as the N95, too!), has 96 MB SDRAM, memory and130 MB user data memory. Comes with 1 GB microSD card but is upgradeable to 8GB (if you can find one locally). Will ship with charger only... No box. (Don't know where it is na.) ^_^

Check out the specs from GSMArena:
Nokia E51 - Full phone specifications

So in summary, it's key features are as follows:
  • Quad-band GSM/3G (with HSDPA 3.6 Mbps), EDGE and GPRS support
  • Wi-Fi, VoIP over WLAN
  • Symbian 9.2 OS Series 60 3rd edition UI with Feature Pack 1
  • 12 mm slim, elegant design
  • 130 MB onboard memory, expandable via microSD cards (up to 4 GB), hot swap
  • Very comfortable keyboard and D-pad
  • Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP and IrDA (115 kbps)
  • New Symbian key icons
  • Fast user interface
Nokia E51 might be the right bestseller stuff not only for business, but for regular users too, for its all-purpose applicability.

FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE PHILIPPINES!

Own it for only PHP 5,950.00!!!

Payment can be made thru BDO/Chinabank/GCASH.

Interested? Contact me at 09209004468.
Honestly, you can't go wrong with this phone.
And don't haggle please... this is the best price in the market!
Surely you won't regret it. ^_^

When in Bantayan, Stay at Tristan's!

My first time in Bantayan Island after all these years and it wasn't even planned! The Cousin Club called me up one night and decided that we leave the following day... and so it was basically like island hopping for me coming from Leyte to Cebu and then finally... Bantayan!!!

Man, oh, man!!! The island is paradise. I wanted to move to Bantayan as soon as I set foot on it. It felt like home. :) Seriously.

The best part was... we didn't spend a fortune on this vacation... Why? Because we chose to stay at Tristan's.

The place was just perfect for all of us! And they were already "off-peak" so room rates were basically from just a thousand and up! It doesn't get any cheaper than that. And it's a room with a TV and a fridge that could actually fit 8 people for only 1,500! Imagine?! Where else would you find such a great deal this summer season?

Published room rates:

P1,000: Single Room/aircon - good for 2 people (Peak Season P1,200)
P1,300: Beach Front room/aircon (Peak Season P1,500)
P1,500: Family Room/aircon (Peak Season P2,500)
P2,500: Family Room/2 beds, aircon with TV & fridge (Peak P3,000)

Peak Season is November to April

Tristan's also got a LOT of food in their menu and their prices are very interesting for what they have to offer (read: servings). But the best part of all... their PIZZA! Tristan's is well-known in the island for their amazing pizza and true enough, when I tried it, it was the ultimate pizza for me. IMHO. You can even create your own masterpiece and put whatever you want in it. They make it with just the right amount of spice and that lingering taste sans the oily feel. It is truly one of the best in the world. Tee hee.

And since Tristan's seems to cater mostly to (big) families and those who seek paradise without having to sell their souls to afford it, they'd let you bring in seafoods from the locals around the place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner... and we didn't even have to pay corkage! So bottomline: "Inatô gyud!" Why? Because the owner slash manager, Nancy, is super friendly and accommodating... she actually reminds me of my nanny. This lady certainly knows how to treat her customers right and like old friends and family, she'll make you feel right at home as soon as you get there. :)

Now if you stay at Tristan's, take note it may not be the most grandious place to be nor does it have the hottest beach on the island, (Hey, I'm not complaining!) but it sure as heck's gonna be worth every single penny you saved up for your vacation. For me, I wouldn't spend my first time in Bantayan in any other place other than Tristan's. For some reason, the place makes me seriously want to move there! So if you haven't been to the island... you can take my word for it and call Nancy and then tell her I said, "Hi!" ^_^ Oh, and Nancy is still going to apply for Broadband Internet/WIFI since I told her it wouldn't be problem because she's got Globelines connected already. Hopefully when I go back there, the whole place will be online! Hehe.

Oh by the way, if you're not in the mood to party, the nights at Tristan's are especially relaxing with the soothing sound of the waves plus the cool summer night breeze... Ahhhh!!! Now, I feel nostalgic! (Of note, the "party strip" in Bantayan is just a 5-minute walk from Tristan's... so should you feel the need to mingle and rub elbows with locals and foreigners, you have the option.)

I so enjoyed our short stay there (obviously!) and am really, really looking forward to going back very, very soon!

For the love of writing, JOURNALS!!!

I've kept journals for as long as I can remember... well, since third grade I think. I've been accustomed to writing in my "Diary" for my love of words. It didn't stop there. I've been trying to improve my handwriting ever since I learned how to hold a pencil but alas, lately, I think my penmanship isn't as good as it used to be. :( Woe is me!

Recently, as I was cleaning my room, I found a bunch of my old diaries dating back a decade ago. And scanning through the pages was more than just a trip to memory lane. It brought a mixture of all sorts of feelings I ever felt my whole life in just a few minutes and frankly, I couldn't stand it so I put them aside. Yet I was just too happy to find the poems I wrote and decided to keep them rather than throw them all out. If you're eager to know what really went on my mind over these years and want to keep them (as souvenirs?) when I die, let me know so I can write your name in my last will and testament. Guaranteed 100% good read! Tee hee.

I also got other "secrets" kept documented... not just my poems where I pour my heart out but also my secret recipes for example. ^_^

But I still ain't sharing it to the world! :P

I find it amusing how my handwriting changed over the years... and in a way you can really tell I haven't been writing as much as time went by...

1999

2001

2002 ~ Then I got lazy and started printing out my entries! ROFLOL!

2003

2004

Plus you can tell how I got all "digitalized" when I pasted printouts of my entries instead. LOL! And soon after that, I started keeping journals on my hard drive. Yep, I had this program called DiaryOne. It was pretty easy to use and I could insert pictures to make it like a digital scrapbook.

But... the unthinkable happened! What d'you say???

My computer crashed!!! Damn you Windozzzzzeeeee!!! And there goes all my memories -- gone forever. Boohoo! Now even though I got my Maki, I resolved not to keep a digital diary. When I have to write, I'll just blog. For personal entries, I'd rather grab a pen and paper. My penmanship really sucks currently. Illegible? By my standards, maybe. That's why I decided to go back journaling "old school"!

But from this:

To this!!!

So enter my first Moleskine! Yup, you read that right! MOLESKINE! I managed to save up for one... (Actually, it was another compulsive buy. Hehe!) So what's a Moleskine? A little intro... Ahem.

Moleskine is the legendary notebook that the European artists and intellectuals who made twentieth-century culture used: from Henri Matisse to the turn-of-the-century Parisian avant-garde, from Louis Férdinand Céline to Ernest Hemingway. Writer-traveler Bruce Chatwin picked up this tradition and made it famous.

A simple black rectangle with squared or lined pages, endleaves held by an elastic band, an inside pocket for loose sheets, a binding in 'moleskine' which gives it its name, this trusty, pocket-size traveling companion guarded notes, stories, thoughts and impressions before they turned into the pages of beloved books.

Chatwin used to buy his moleskine at a Paris stationery shop in Rue de l’Ancienne Comédie. He always stocked up on them before going off on one of his journeys. He had a ritual set up over the years -before using them, he numbered the pages, wrote his name and at least two addresses in the world with the promise of a reward in case they got lost. "Losing my passport was the least of my worries, losing a notebook was a catastrophe".

That quote really hit home! I can't imagine losing a notebook with all your heart poured out inside as well as your brilliant ideas all laid out. Now that's double unthinkable!!! No wonder they have THIS on the first page!

HAHAHAHA!! Totally brilliant!!!

And yeah, it really opens flat! Cool! I can't wait to fill up the pages! Weeee!!! So exciting!!! ^_^ I know I'll be buying more from avalon.ph! Gotta stock up on the Moleskines!!!

Now, if I can just find the right pen to use...
