Super late post! But I’m still going to document what happened last November 30, 2016 when Fanny Serrano came to Ormoc City for a hair and makeup and personality workshop thanks to Cong. Lucy Torres-Gomez, Mayor Richard Gomez and the Ormoc City Festival and Cultural Foundation.
It was a wonderful opportunity for local beauticians and beauty enthusiasts to level up their game and get great advice from the top beauty expert in the Philippines! We count ourselves lucky we didn’t have to travel to be part of this amazing experience where we learned… A LOT. A whole lot of techniques on how to apply makeup expertly. And I do love Fanny Serrano’s makeup line… I’ve used them for years now and the tools are really high-quality.
I’m a fan of #FannySerrano for years now, not only because of the workshop, but I can’t honestly live without these eyelash curlers! Fits my eye shape perfectly and does magic with curling my non-existent lashes. Love this eyeliner gel and why do even own so many powder foundations? Because… #makeup 😍 #whatsinmybag #bastaigatsikat #ormoccity
Remember the awesome makeover that transformed TV star-comedienne Kiray?
Yup! That was Fanny Serrano’s iconic touch that did it!
From the proper day makeup to gorgeous night makeup as well as hairstyles to fit every age and occasion. With almost 200 participants, it was a successful event where many local talents from all over Leyte were overjoyed to participate in.
Beauty is an art and though people think it’s just vanity, you just can’t deny how good it feels to make yourself beautiful with makeup. For me, as long as it is the right style for the right occasion, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it. In fact, it is the perfect way to express yourself. I, myself, often go for more natural/casual makeup but that’s just because I don’t go out a lot or attend many events. But when I do need to dress up to the nines, I am happy that I am able to transform my looks into whatever is required of the moment.
Of course, we can’t force everyone to appreciate all the effort that is put on to making people look and feel beautiful with makeup. But I guess, some people just need to acknowledge that there’s real work behind it and there’s more to it than meets the eye. Though I’ve watched countless of YouTube tutorials and attended previous makeup workshops in the past, having attended Fanny Serrano’s workshop was a real treat.
And guess what, the workshop was also for FREE!!! Can’t get any better than that! So thanks so much, Tita Fanny, for uplifting the lives of professional beauticians and beauty enthusiasts in Ormoc, but most of all for sharing your secrets with us! Until next time, TF!
