No contest here. Revlon has always been one of my favorite lipstick brands and I have amassed hundreds of them already in the span of a decade just because… for one, they are super moisturizing and the colors are just spot-on gorgeous; two, they are perfect for whatever mood you’re in; and three, they don’t break the bank. We all know that they have a bazillion types of lippies to choose from, but for this blog review, let’s talk about their ULTRA HD GEL LIPCOLOR.
Get high-definition, lightweight color with NEW Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor. Intensely hydrating formula with hyaluronic acid.
And boy is it simply hydrating!!! What about the color payoff? Well, it may not be as pigmented as people want it to be but if you keep swiping, you can achieve the opacity you want. However, since these are supercalifragilisticexpialidociously moisturizing, they do transfer and come off easily.
That’s not a total turn off for me though because there are days when I don’t want my lipstick to last the entire day. You know, those times when you are just going to pick your kid up from school or go on a quick run to the bank to withdraw some cash. Times like that, who wants to put on a full face? Not me. So this lipstick is really great because it seriously won’t dry your lips and the colors are just too pretty!!!
Also notice that the ULTRA HD GEL LIPCOLORS don’t look conventional as your normal lipstick because it is housed in a metallic barrel and is pretty slim, which I like because I can place it in a pencil case or put it inside my long wallet. The lipstick are also slanted (diagonal) in a way that it makes it easy to apply them on your lips. They are shiny, so if you want to step up your lip gloss game for those of you who don’t really wear cream lipsticks, then try these. It is fairly fragrant with a fruity scent (taste?) to it. You might not like it but I do!!! Makes me nostalgic for those fruity lip shiners with a roller ball from the 80s. HA!
Alright, it’s time for the ULTRA HD GEL LIPCOLORS lip swatches!!!
As for my favorite from this bunch, I would pick the Sand in a heartbeat. I love nude lippies. ‘Nuff said.
So for this #REVLONFOTD, here are the products I’ve used. Who says you can’t achieve that “Korean” dewy / glowing look with non-Asian cosmetics? I was checking the products and they’re Made in U.S.A. except for the Revlon Colorstay Eyebrow Liner which is Made in Germany. I will have to do a separate video review for this one. So watch out for that!
All in all, I think Revlon will always be a favorite non-cruelty-free makeup and drugstore brand for me and they’re not going away anytime soon… in fact, they keep coming up with new and improved products. You’ll definitely be seeing a lot more Revlon goodies from this blog and my social media posts. So until then! Thanks for dropping by!
