Annyeonghaseyo 안녕하세요! Finally published! I am so sorry for this super, super, super late review. But I promise, I’ll make it up to you. Because at the end of this review, there’s a pretty cool giveaway just in time for the holidays!
What is Bbo-Song? In Korean it means “smooth skin”. Think powdery, fluffy, smooth skin. You know when they say, “as smooth as a baby’s butt”. So yeah, I got myself the Bbo-Song Beauty Box from Althea Korea. But now it’s currently SOLD OUT. Oh noes! But hang in there, because you’ll have a chance to get yours, absolutely FREE, when you join my giveaway. (Mechanics at the end of this post!) But first let’s do an unboxing video!!!
What the beauty box contains and my review of each one after having used them for 3 months:
The Saem – Saemmul Single Blusher – At first I was wary about using a bubble gum pink blush. I mean, I have yellow undertone and didn’t feel like this would sit well with me. But boy, was I wrong! Because I use the NakeUp face powder cushion, it kinda changed my skintone and so I was able to wear this blush with no worries. It looks rather refreshing on the skin. Also is super pigmented so I’m guessing you could totally use this as a HAIR CHALK! Yep, I’m totally going to try it.
Skinfood Choco Powder Eyebrow Cake – The colors for this particular product came in Grey Khaki Black and Grey Brown. Most people are fine with this color combo especially if you like to get that natural ombre effect, but since I change my colors every now and then I tend to wear eyebrow mascara just to match my eyebrows and hair. Skinfood uses real cacao powder so there’s all natural goodness in it like anti-bacterial properties and it also comes with a tiny angled brush. I personally like to use my long-handled angled brushes for better control when doing my brows but this is fine for people on the go and don’t need dramatic eyebrows. #KilayISLife
Innisfree No Sebum Powder Cream – Oh, that lemony-minty scent got me good! I use this as a primer, it works well and feels refreshing on the skin. Why use a primer? If you want your makeup to last longer, it is a must. If you don’t really use a lot of makeup, this is still a great product to control oiliness on your face. Personally, I’d order more of it when mine runs out because it’s a 3-in-1 product for sebum control + moisturization + primer function! How cool is that? It is also one of those products that use Jeju natural minerals from nature. And I just love Innisfree!!! (Also not because Lee Min Ho endorses it!) Tee hee.
NakeUp Face Coverking Powder Cushion #22 – My first impression on powder cushions was not so good because I used the wrong shade. But ever since I finally found what shade worked for me, I’ve amassed plenty of powder cushions already because they are really good at covering imperfections, and you know I’ve got gazillions of it! So what makes this one a keeper? The extracts in it!!! We got Alaskan glacier, Asian pennywort, Cactus, and Rakendyulla. But what are these? Well, you can Google their benefits but overall, let’s just say they’re very good at keeping your skin moisturized, as well as calms and refreshes the skin. It is as Bbo-song as you can get! Think of it as a BB cream but better (IMHO). Plus you need just a small amount because a little goes a looooong way.
Petitfee Hate U! Red Spot Sulfur Powder – Acne-prone people rejoice!!! I’ve been using this constantly whenever a zit pops up and it definitely helps heal them faster. I don’t usually pop my zits as they just go away on their own. I believe that this products really speeds up the zit-disappearing process. Honestly, I don’t think I can live without this product anymore. Before you tell me stuff like, “you should stop wearing makeup so you don’t get pimples”, well, let me tell you that my acne is hormonal. It’s not mainly caused by makeup because I pick my makeup WISELY. Hello, PCOS people! You know what I’m talking about. Anyway, back to the product, yes, it also doubles as a concealer so you get makeup + skincare = win-win! It’s very soothing on pimples with a cooling sensation. This bottle is probably going to last me a very long time. NOTE: SHAKE IT BEFORE USING!
W.Lab Sebum Out Control Mist – YAAAAAAS! Say goodbye to oil paper blotters, because this baby does the job pretty well. You have to SHAKE IT VIGOROUSLY before spraying as it has some powder constituents and will likely give you splotches on your face. If you do get it on your dark clothes or hair, just dampen it with water and rub it off. I use this one as a makeup setter and I just love it!
